Heal your mind, heal your life

Everyone has a story.
This is ours.

Hello there! I’m Tina Peck, owner of Healings Minds Counseling, LLC.
I graduated from USU with my Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2011 and my Masters in Social Work in 2014.
Healing Minds Counseling came to fruition in January 2018.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).  I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families.  The age range of population that I work with is 4-years-old to 90-years-young.
I have worked with people with various disabilities since I was 18 years old. My first “adult” employment was at a group home where women with disabilities lived.  Since then, most of my employment has been centered around having the opportunity to work with people with disabilities. As a therapist, I have had the opportunity to work with people regarding their mental health since 2014. First, I worked with inpatient in a hospital setting part-time for four years. Then, I transitions to outpatient.
While attending college I worked at the Disability Resource Center where I facilitated anxiety workshops and note taking coordination.
During my undergraduate degree I had the opportunity to complete my practicum at the local domestic violence office.  This started the momentum of searching for knowledge surrounding trauma.
In 2017, I attended and completed my training for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and in 2020, I completed the training for TFCBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).  I feel that addressing traumas that we have experienced is essential to healing.  I have worked in the field of addiction since October 2015. I have attended multiple trainings and conferences specifically regarding addiction. I have worked inpatient and outpatient in this area.

Our Thought Process…

We believe that there is good in everyone and that we should be kind to one another.  We feel that therapy is hard work and rewarding.  By working together, we feel that healing is possible.
